We usually fail to see ourselves as God does, hindering our grasp of our true value and significance. That may be the miracle we have been waiting for in certain situations.

In the previous blog post, we touched on the identity of a Citizen of the Kingdom of God, and in this blog post, we will be unfolding how often we undermine how much of a miracle and blessing we are.

It’s not about being validated by people to believe and see yourself as one, but simply believing that if that is indeed God’s perspective of us then we should confidently believe it. Furthermore, when we do so we will begin to see a shift in our lives and impact people positively.

Embodying the Miracle: Reflecting God’s Presence Within Us

We tend not to allow God’s miracle words to sit within us truly. When God states that we have been created in His image, He very much means it. When we reflect on who God is, we are amazed by His majestic nature. His wonderous character, ways of thinking, talking, and acting.

Now when we connect the two, that God is truly this amazing and says He has created us in His image, shouldn’t we view ourselves in such a manner?

God doesn’t need anyone to validate Him, He knows and believes His existence brings great miracle value. Therefore, we should know that God never wants us to depend on anyone to tell us our worth but Himself. This is already stated in His Word.

We have to know and believe it, when we do so we will behave as such.

BE FRUITFUL

Scriptures

“God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.”-Genesis 9:1

‘God also said to him, “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply. A nation, indeed an assembly of nations, will come from you, and kings will descend from you.”’-Genesis 35:11

“They will still bear fruit in old age,
healthy and green,”-Psalm 92:14

Various times in the scriptures the Lord instructs His people to be fruitful, this is truly a powerful revelation.

This should hint to us that we can live fruitful lives through Him. That all aspects of our lives should show significant results. As believers, we should not find it normal not to live abundant lives.

When we don’t we should be quick to run to God to give us revelation why our lives are not bearing fruits. For being fruitful is a sign that we are serving the living God.

Furthermore, we are to be mindful that to be able to see miracle fruits we need to be constantly growing. Growing in our relationship with God, perfecting the miracle gifts, talents, and calling He has put in our hands.

As much as we love God, we must know that God is a God of principles and order. He will not give what we cannot manage, especially when it involves His great agenda. For, we will become the bad seeds that will spoil the harvest.

Therefore, we believe we can be fruitful through Christ Jesus, but moreover having the responsibility to do what God expects of us to see the fruitfulness come to reality.

The Gifts & Ministries of the Spirit

“Diversity of Spiritual Gifts

Now concerning spiritual gifts: brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be unaware. You know that when you were pagans, you used to be enticed and led astray by mute idols.  Therefore I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ministries, but the same Lord. And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person. A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good: to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of tongues, to another, interpretation of tongues. One and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as he wills.”-1 Corinthians 12:1-11

The Miracle Gifts: Exploring Divine Endowments

The Holy Spirit giving us this gift(s) is truly a miracle and blessing. This is a way of God ensuring that we help one another as believers and those who are unbelievers.

• Wisdom:

Is it not a blessing to be the individual others can trust to give wise advice? God knew that humanity would struggle, so, He gifted people who would fill that gap.

These individuals offer guidance akin to what God Himself would provide when you’re feeling confused or facing complex situations. Or, to put it another way, they are vessels through which God reveals the answers you’ve been seeking.

• Knowledge:

In God’s divine wisdom, He blesses certain individuals with the gift of knowledge, granting them profound insights into spiritual truths.

They possess a deep understanding of God’s Word, and His ways, allowing them to share valuable insights and guidance with others. Through teaching, counseling, or prophetic revelation, those with the gift of knowledge play a crucial role in illuminating the mysteries of God’s kingdom and equipping fellow believers for impactful ministry.

• Faith:

The gift of faith! Have you ever spoken to those who have this gift? Their faith inspires you deeply, demonstrating remarkable resilience even amid difficulties.

• Healing:

In this world, some people suffer from all sorts of sicknesses and diseases some suffering for many years. Believers with the gift of healing need to remember that God wants them to be at work. He truly desires for us to live healthy years of life.

• Miracles:

The ministry of Jesus was full of miracles, it showed people that God is a God who performs marvelous miracles. This gift should remind people that God remains the mighty working God and can NEVER be replaced.

• Prophecy:

God is the all-knowing God and uses people with the gift of prophecy to deliver His messages. This prophetic gift encourages, warns, instructs, and overall aids in giving a sense of direction in remaining aligned with God’s plan.

• Discerning spirits:

With Satan being at work with his agents, aiming constantly to stop the work of God, to destroy destinies, God has gifted people who can discern those who are of God or Satan. This aid is invaluable, particularly when distinguishing between truth and falsehood becomes exceedingly challenging.

Even though discerning spirits is possible through the Holy Spirit’s guidance, those with this gift typically possess deeper insight.

• Different tongues:

The gift of speaking in tongues is a remarkable manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s presence and power within believers. It allows individuals to communicate directly with God through a spiritual language that surpasses human understanding.

While often experienced in personal prayer and worship, speaking in tongues also serves as a profound sign of God’s presence and an avenue for spiritual expression and intercession.

This gift empowers believers to forge a deeper connection with God, transcending earthly boundaries to intimately commune with the Lord. Through the gift of different tongues, believers experience the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, drawing them closer to God and enriching their spiritual lives.

• Interpretation of tongues:

There are moments when God wants others to understand the tongues that are spoken and this is where the interpreter comes in. The Spirit of God has enabled them to know and understand what is being said.

Moreover, these gifts fall into three categories which depict how God is. The way Yahweh, thinks, speaks, and acts. Isn’t that just amazing?

Unfortunately, many believers today fail to grasp the importance of exercising the gifts given to them. When we don’t see the value of something, it will be hard for us to cherish it.

Embracing Miracle Callings: Understanding the Fivefold Ministries

“The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, to fill all things. And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.” -Ephesians 4:10-13

Moreover, God calls people into fivefold ministries to bring value to others, reflecting His divine plan for their lives.

The Apostle

The Greek word ‘apostle’ means, “one who is sent out”; these individuals are chosen and sent by God with a message. In 1 Corinthians 3:10, Apostle Paul describes his calling as a “spiritual architect”; apostles are tasked with building up the body of Christ. They ensure to set a firm foundation based on the truth of Jesus Christ.

The Prophet

A prophet’s calling is to serve as the mouthpiece of God, conveying His will on an individual(s) or collective situation. The prophetic ministry manifests in various ways: predictive, directive, and corrective. However, it always needs to align with scripture in some way.

It is important to note that having the gift of prophecy does not necessarily mean God has called you into the ministry of a prophet.

The Evangelist

The Evangelist takes on the task of expanding the body of Christ and actively serves as a vessel for God’s work. They remind us of the urgency of reaching lost souls and the need for our active involvement in this mission.

The Pastor

The Greek word for pastor is ‘poimen’ which refers to ‘one who tends sheep or cares for flocks’. God gifts the pastor the ability to build strong relationships and care for the needs of the people.

The Teacher

Lastly, the teacher possesses profound knowledge of God’s Word and delves into its practical application. Teachers give clear communication and understanding of principles and foundations, enabling us to live wisely.

Cultivating Talents

Beyond spiritual gifts and ministries, God has endowed us with natural talents and abilities. When cultivated and employed for His glory, we become powerful instruments of miracle, blessing, and transformation. We should steward every talent bestowed upon us with intentionality and use it to serve others in love, be it the gift of music, art, leadership, or hospitality. By honing our skills and leveraging our talents for the benefit of others we not only fulfill our calling as faithful stewards but also reflect the creativity and generosity of our Heavenly Father.

Conclusion:

In wrapping up our reflections on the remarkable blessings bestowed upon us by our Heavenly Father, let’s not overlook the profound significance of these divine miracle gifts. They are not merely tokens of His affection but essential tools to fulfill our purpose as citizens of His Kingdom.

As we navigate our journey of faith let’s hold fast to the truth that we are carriers of God’s miraculous power and vessels of His divine grace. Embracing this reality empowers us to live confidently knowing that His Spirit dwells within us, guiding and empowering us for every task.

Let’s cultivate a deep appreciation for the unique gifts and talents God has bestowed upon each of us. Let’s use these gifts to glorify God and serve others with humility and love, whether it’s the gift of wisdom, the ability to speak in tongues, or a talent for music or leadership.

As we embark on this journey together, remember that our ultimate goal is to bring honor and glory to our Heavenly Father. Let’s walk in obedience to His Word, seeking His will in all that we do, and trusting in His faithfulness to lead us every step of the way.

May our understanding of God’s abundant blessings continuously grow and we live each day with hearts full of gratitude and praise. For in Him, we find our true identity and purpose, and it is in Him that we place our hope and trust for the future. Amen.
